Why a private-investigator directory

People who need a private detective are usually going through something stressful — a suspected affair, a dubious sick leave, a custody dispute. They face two blind spots at once: they have no idea who operates in their area, and they cannot tell a properly licensed professional from a cowboy. MejorDetective.com tackles both, gathering Spain's investigators into one searchable place and making licence verification part of the journey.

I run it as one of my own lead-generation platforms: visitors land with a specific problem and leave with the phone number of a vetted professional in their province.

What users can do

• Search instantly by city, agency name or postcode, with shortcuts to the busiest markets — Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia and Malaga.
• Open detailed profiles showing each detective's phone, address and TIP licence reference.
• Browse five investigation specialities, from infidelity cases to unfair competition, each on its own landing page.
• Follow a four-step guided flow — search, compare, verify, contact — that teaches them what to check before committing.
• Navigate by territory through per-region and per-province pages with live professional counts.
• Read the blog, which covers questions like how an investigator's report is used in custody proceedings.

The build

There is no CMS underneath — the entire product is a bespoke Laravel + PHP application backed by MySQL. Profile pages for all 814 professionals, province pages and service landings are generated programmatically, each shipping with its own metadata and JSON-LD (including a SearchAction for the site search). That programmatic-SEO layer is what lets one codebase rank for hundreds of local queries.

Frontend weight stays minimal thanks to Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js bundled with Vite — a deliberate choice for users searching from a phone in a moment of urgency.
